The manual screen is a screening equipment consisting of a set of bars with variable spacing, designed to separate coarse waste from the effluent.
The manual screen is a stainless steel structure intended for “in-channel” installation, typically as a bypass in a channel parallel to the inlet channel or upstream of other filtration equipment. Filtration is achieved through equidistant stainless steel bars, which block coarse waste in the effluent. The removal of coarse waste is manually performed by an operator using a metal rake, lifting and directing the screenings into a container.
Manual screens offer several advantages, including:
•Robust and reliable;
•Easy installation;
•No energy consumption;
•Simple maintenance.
