The mechanical rotating screen is a screening equipment consisting of a set of bars with variable spacing, resulting in the separation of coarse waste from raw effluent.
This equipment consists of a stainless steel or carbon steel structure, designed for installation “in-channel,” typically in the primal channel or upstream of other filtration equipment. The filtration is carried out by equidistant stainless steel bars, where coarse waste present in the effluent is blocked. The removal of coarse waste is mechanically performed by a scraper blade, which lifts and directs the screenings to a container.
Advantages of Mechanical Screens:
•Robust and Reliable;
•Easy Installation;
•Low Energy Consumption;
•Simple Maintenance;
•Automatic Screenings Discharge;
